Belonging to the same group as Topshop, which is the Arcadia group of companies in the UK, Miss Selfridge was founded in 1966 as a young fashion section of Selfridges department store in London. Today, it is a UK high street store with shops all over the world. Their market is geared towards the young teen and early twenties market with their full line of clothing and accessories.

Dorothy Perkins

Dorothy Perkins is also under the Arcadia group of companies that carry Topshop and Miss Selfridge. One of the oldest brands in the UK, it was founded in 1909 and began as a ladies underwear and hosiery clothing line. It has more than 600 UK stores and over 50 international outlets that offer clothing, knitwear, coats, denim, shoes, lingerie, and accessories and jewelry. It also carries a wide range of women’s sizes from size 6-22. Dorothy Perkins has been offering affordable and feminine fashions to the British fashionable set for over 100 years.

Fred Perry

The Laurel Wreath is probably one of the most recognized images in the fashion retail world. Fred Perry’s signature embroidery is plastered on their most famous garment, which is the slim fit cotton pique shirt, launched in 1952. The first British brand to blend sportswear and streetwear successfully, Fred Perry has created some of the most iconic styles of the last decades. Founded in the late 1940’s by Tibby Wegner and three time Wimbledon champion Fred Perry, their first product was the sweatband and was quickly adopted by tennis players in the UK. It opened in 1994 as a menswear clothing brand supplying exclusively to high end retailers such as Harrods and Harvey Nicholes, but has since expanded to womenswear and other stylish offerings as well.

Bolongaro Trevor

Former founders and designers of AllSaints, Kait Bolongaro and Stuart Trevor, sold their company in 2005 and launched their new brand Bolongaro Trevor in 2006. The duo’s latest brainchild gears towards a more sophisticated, cleaner, and edgier vibe to their brand. Twenty8Twelve is the brainchild of sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller, who were approached by fashion businessman Carlos Ortega, to create a diffusion line in 2006. Launched in 2007, Twenty8Twelve is now a global brand that has four stand alone boutiques in London and sold in over 300 selected retailers across 20 countries around the world. The brand is heavily influenced by film, art, culture, and are constantly collaborating with different forms of art and artists to create their collections. Though the sisters have already left the company, the brand is still growing under the same aesthetic and philosophy.

Illustrated People

Pushing the boundaries of commercial fashion, Illustrated People is a clothing brand that believes in originality and expression.
